Crow's feet are located on the sides of the eyes and are also known as laugh lines, as they develop from frequent laughing or squinting. Generally, laugh lines are considered charming, but they can be perceived as bothersome when they remain deeply set in the skin or extend across the cheeks. Through a Botox treatment, these wrinkles can be reduced and fine lines softened.

The treatment
Prior to the treatment, an extensive consultation takes place in which we discuss your wishes, expectations and risks of the treatment. The physician places injections at specific points around the eyes. This relaxes the muscles responsible for the laugh lines.
Within 3 to 5 days the first effect becomes visible, and after approximately 2 weeks the full result can be seen. The results last for approximately 3 to 4 months; this varies per person. Regular repeat treatments are recommended to maintain the effect. At Noveve Aesthetics, we focus on natural results to prevent an expressionless face. We always start with the minimum dosage and adjust after two weeks if necessary.
Safety
Botox treatments are generally very safe but may have some side effects such as bruising, swelling, redness or headache. Rare complications include facial asymmetry, infection and a drooping eyelid or drooping eyebrow. In very rare cases, botox may spread to other parts of the body or an allergic reaction may occur.
Before a botox treatment, it is important to avoid blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin, for several days to minimise bruising. Always consult a physician before stopping such medication. After the treatment, we recommend not touching the treated area and not lying flat for the first 4 to 6 hours. This prevents the botox from migrating to surrounding muscles. It is also advised to avoid physical exertion for the first 24 hours, as well as sunbeds and saunas. Always follow the specific instructions from the physician for optimal results and recovery.

Dynamic wrinkles (those that appear when laughing) are significantly reduced. Very deep, static lines may become softer but may not disappear completely. We discuss realistic expectations during the consultation.
Absolutely! We aim for a natural result. The wrinkles around your eyes are softened, but your smile remains natural and expressive.
The effect lasts on average 3 to 4 months. After this period, you can repeat the treatment. The exact duration varies per person.
