Prior to the treatment, an extensive consultation takes place in which we discuss your wishes, expectations and the risks of the treatment. The medical doctor places injections at specific points around the eyebrows. This relaxes the muscles that pull the eyebrows downward, allowing the natural lifting muscles to have more influence and giving the eyebrows a slight lift.
Results
Within 3 to 5 days, the first effect becomes visible, and after approximately 2 weeks the full result can be seen. The results last for approximately 3 to 4 months; this varies per person. Regular repeat treatments are recommended to maintain the effect. At Noveve Aesthetics, we focus on natural results to prevent an expressionless face. We always start with the minimum dosage and adjust after two weeks if necessary.

Safety & risks
Botox treatments are generally very safe but may have some side effects such as bruising, swelling, redness or headache. Rare complications include facial asymmetry and a drooping eyelid or drooping eyebrow. In very rare cases, botox may spread to other parts of the body or an allergic reaction may occur.
Pre- and aftercare
Before a botox treatment, it is important to avoid blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin, for several days to minimise bruising. Always consult a medical doctor before stopping such medication. After the treatment, we recommend not touching the treated area and not lying flat for the first 4 to 6 hours. This prevents the botox from migrating to surrounding muscles. It is also advised to avoid physical exertion for the first 24 hours, as well as sunbeds and saunas. Always follow the specific instructions from the medical doctor for optimal results and recovery.
