The treatment
Prior to the treatment, an extensive consultation takes place in which we discuss your wishes, expectations and the risks of the treatment. Based on this conversation, your face is analysed and a personalised treatment plan is drawn up. The physician places strategic injections with hyaluronic acid fillers and possibly Botox at various points in the face to restore volume, improve contours and soften wrinkles. The treatment itself takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
The filler result is immediately visible, although slight swelling or redness in the treated area is possible. After 1 to 2 weeks, the fillers have fully settled and the final result is visible. The result is a fresh and well-rested appearance. The fillers remain visible for an average of 12 to 18 months, depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Regular follow-up treatments are recommended to maintain the effect.
Safety
Fillers are generally very safe when performed by an experienced physician using high-quality products. Possible side effects include swelling, bruising or redness, which usually subside within a few days. In rare cases, an infection, allergic reaction or vascular occlusion may occur.
Before a treatment with filler, it is important to avoid blood-thinning medication, such as aspirin, for a few days beforehand to minimise bruising. Always consult a physician before stopping this type of medication. After the treatment, we recommend not touching or massaging the treated area. Additionally, it is advised to avoid physical exertion for the first 24 hours, as well as sunbeds and saunas. Always follow the physician's specific instructions for optimal results and recovery.
