The treatment
Prior to the treatment, an extensive consultation takes place in which we discuss your wishes, expectations and the risks of the treatment. The physician analyses your face and determines how much filler is needed for a natural result. After applying a numbing cream, the physician places small injections in and along the folds. The filler is evenly distributed to create a smooth transition and subtly fill the folds. The treatment takes approximately 20-25 minutes in total.
The result is immediately visible, although slight swelling or redness in the treated area is possible. After 1 to 2 weeks, the fillers have fully settled and the final result is visible. The lines will be less deep and the skin will have a smoother and younger appearance. The fillers remain effective for an average of 9 to 12 months, depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Regular follow-up treatments are recommended to maintain the effect.
Safety
Fillers are generally very safe when performed by an experienced physician using high-quality products. Possible side effects include swelling, bruising or redness, which usually subside within a few days. In rare cases, an infection, allergic reaction or vascular occlusion may occur.
Before a treatment with filler, it is important to avoid blood-thinning medication, such as aspirin, for a few days beforehand to minimise bruising. Always consult a physician before stopping this type of medication. After the treatment, we recommend not touching or massaging the treated area. Additionally, it is advised to avoid physical exertion for the first 24 hours, as well as sunbeds and saunas. Always follow the physician's specific instructions for optimal results and recovery.
